Question: Many times I am supposed to do a recovery cycle ride. I am interested in what is a proper way to do this ride (cadence, heart rate, power, course) and what are the effects of this ride? Can a recovery cycling ride be substituted by some other activity (swimming, running or some other activity)?

Just got Raynard Tissink’s newsletter: He was forced to miss out on Quelle Challenge Roth due to an piriformis syndrome, he has chosen Ironman Korea for his next race. An interesting detail is that he has been working with Natascha Badmann’s coach, Toni Hasler, since Ironman South Africa 2007.
