Ironman Western Australia 2007 - quick review

Ironman Western Australia

As some of you may know Robin Frankland and I have had a virtual competition against each other ever since we met in Port Elizabeth morning after Ironman South Africa. He was leading for about 30 mins, than I caught up this year with my Challenge Roth 9:46, but Robin just totally blew me out with his 9:17:48 in Ironman Western Australia! This is his best placement at 52nd while I managed 76th in Ironman UK.

Robin ran 3:35 which is totally disproportionate to his swim and cycle. I know he will fix this for the next season so its even harder for me to catch up.

Robin’s coach and South Africa’s favorite Raynard Tissink placed second with 3 min 30 sec delay after winner Patrick Vernay.

Check the results at Ironman.com.

More info will follow and I hope Robin’s race report.
