Daniel Godfrey Hugo are my full names. I was born in a town one hours drive from Cape Town, and spent my youth on a 6th generation wine farm just outside the semi-rural community of Worcester.

I have a friend who is diabetic and recently decided to prepare for a marathon. He said he wanted to beat the illness. I can not understand what kind of dificulties he has to go through. I only know the theory as I have never experienced his challenges.

P. Z. Pierce, medical director of several Ironman races, is famous for saying: If God invented marathons to keep people from doing anything more stupid, the triathlon must have taken Him completely by surprise.
