Just got a great email from Ironman South Africa mailing list: a new race will be organized in 2008 season - Ironman 70.3 South Africa - in Buffalo City (East London) on 13th January, 2008. Race organizer is Triangle Events.

Comrades Marathon has an admirable tradition and inspires amazing respect and awe by runners not only in South Africa but worldwide. There is no swimming or cycling but many, as I know, have started their path towards triathlon (especially Ironman) through this great running race.
