As some of you may know Robin Frankland and I have had a virtual competition against each other ever since we met in Port Elizabeth morning after Ironman South Africa.

“The Toughest Day In Sport”. This was the caption above our heads as we finished the 2007 Standard Chartered Ironman Korea, and that day it had been truer than any other Ironman day that I had ever felt.

In a weekend filled with Ironman racing it was pleasing to note that South Africa’s own Raynard Tissink returned to his winning ways at the incredibly tough Ironman Korea on the island of Jeju.
