Desiree Ficker and Raynard Tissink have won the first edition of Ironman 70.3 South Africa in East London on 13th January, 2008.

In a weekend filled with Ironman racing it was pleasing to note that South Africa’s own Raynard Tissink returned to his winning ways at the incredibly tough Ironman Korea on the island of Jeju. Raynard Tissink prepares with Toni Hasler for Ironman Korea

Just got Raynard Tissink’s newsletter: He was forced to miss out on Quelle Challenge Roth due to an piriformis syndrome, he has chosen Ironman Korea for his next race. An interesting detail is that he has been working with Natascha Badmann’s coach, Toni Hasler, since Ironman South Africa 2007.
