Second edition of the new Ironman 70.3 series World Championship was held in Clearwater, Florida on 11th November, 2007. In confusing results I was able to figure out that seven South Africans took part:

Richard Murray continued his rich vein of form that has seen him finish second in the first two events of the Teavigo Duathlon Series to win the ITU Junior World Championship in Gyor, Hungary.

Another big change in triathlon rules - the next ITU Long Distance World Championship, held in Lorient, France on 15th July, 2007 - will be comprised of much shorter distances: 3km swim + 80km bike and 20km run.
