Support Avron Sirin at Cape Argus Cycle Tour
March 9th, 2007 by Nicola Lockhart
Last week Monday many of us were devastated to hear our friend Avron Sirin had to undergo surgery to have a tumor removed from his head.
I met Avron a year ago when I purchased my bike at his shop Cycle Traders in Woodstock, Cape Town. He has since become an amazing friend, great company training and always ready to help out with my bike woes. I think many can say the same of this special man.
He has since undergone a second operation and currently recovering in ICU. We all hope to see him strong again soon. He is a brilliant cyclist and although he will not be racing Cape Argus we should spare a thought for him and have an enjoyable race for him…
To show our support to Avron’s recovery we are going to race Cape Argus with yellow string on our rights wrists - and with a smile. Please, join us. You can collect your string at the Bicycling Magazine, stand 69, Cape Argus Expo. Available from noon today.
Please pass this post on…
