Teavigo Duathlon Series 2007

So I messed up a little and got my dates wrong. I was planning to go and watch the first leg of the Teavigo Duathlon Series at Maropeng but somehow thought that it was going to be held on Sunday, April 22, 2007 when in fact it was held the day before. Did I ever look like the idiot asking the people where the race was only to be greeted with a smile and politely told that it was yesterday.

At least I was not down to compete, although I was initially interested in doing so. Unfortunately it was a draft legal event held under ITU rules and since I only own a Time Trial bike, I would not have been allowed to enter. The prize list is pretty impressive by South African standards and while I was unlikely to get my hands on any of that, it is nice for the local athletes to have something worthwhile to race for.

Despite numerous attempts to get the results I have not been able to find anything which is a pity because after all the hard work done before the race, the sponsors are losing out on the additional coverage that could be generated post event.

If anyone has the results and would like me to publish them, please send me an email
