The tri season is really hotting up in kzn? can this be. almost into winter and the boys and girls from durban are basking in the sun? seems a little bazarre but thats exactly whats happening right now in durban. not too many places where the winter tri season is busier than summer. durban hosted its first race of the suncoast multisport winter series just this past weekend.

here are the results. some great racing had by all. the month of may see’s a total of 3 races in 4 weeks. the african sprint champs on the 12th in richards bay (a day before the world cup event), the 2nd of the sprint series races on the 20th may and the finally the durban ultra on the 27th. not bad for the winter. kzn triathletes really have no excuse for not being in shape come the start of the summer.

i will also be looking at hosting a winter triathlon training camp in durban during the july school holidays, those interested, please let me know via email. gores@lantic.net

other than that, not much else right now but if your feeling the chill and still want to race a little, head for durbs at the earliest convenience.

if you need advice on coaching and training or anything else, send me a mail

over and out
