I must appologize that I have missed such this. Viv Williams has won her age-group F45-49 in BG Triathlon World Championship in Hamburg. Congratulations!

Olga Vasilyera (RUS) 02:29:26

10) Ruriko Yajima (JPN) 02:31:17
I met Viv last year while we both stayed at Hugo house in Worcester, she was racing at Jailbreak triathlon and I was following Nicola and hoping to get a good sunburn. She or someone else told me back than, I can not really remember who, that she hopes to become the world champion this year. I was somewhat amazed. It is always strange when people say to you that they or someone else is planning to be a world champion. It sounded to me as if I heard someone is planning to go to the Moon.
And just now, on MyTrainingDay.com, I saw that she did realize her ambition. I am amazed!
What is it about someone elses success that makes us so happy I do not know but it is the best thing - we do nothing, they do all the work, and we are happy. I guess I am a fan of Viv Williams because this is what fans feel like.
Bravo!
