Western Province triathlon trials

First weekend I was here I had a chance to check out the Western Province triathlon trials that took place in Stellenbosch. The race was badly organized but it seamed like everyone had a lot of fun.

The race could have used at least a finish line and few others things here and there, I am sure the organizers - Western Province Triathlon - are aware of this and hopefully they will improve it for the next time. But, it is my impression, that this did not bother anyone. I am always impressed by how much joy people take in racing no matter what. It does not matter if its a race from the supermarket exit to the car or world championship - people enjoy racing - and this was such a proof of that. So instead of writing about bad organization I will just say that I was inspired by the atmosphere and positive attitude.

Congratulations to winners Kirtsty Weir and Raoul De Jongh.
